A compression faucet is the most dependable and it depends on rubber washers to lock the valve seat. These rubber washers tends to drained out easily but it has to be changed once in a time. The next type which is the washer less faucets, has a more longevity but those can also evolve leaks. With the rest type of faucets either you can change the O-ring or neoprene stamp or renew the entire thing.

O-rings has sizes from 3/8 to 5/8 inch, so it is tough to co-relate the size of the pipe with your required pipe.
