One of the top ways to start in housebreaking puppies is crate training. This is a method of training where you put your dog inside a crate when you are out for the day. This will not only prevent puppy accidents inside, but it will also keep your place clean and tidy while you are out.

When done right, crate training is not only great in housebreaking puppies, but it training them to behave as well. And when done right, it is quite effective, however, it must be done right and done consistently otherwise it will not work.

One Guaranteed Way to Train Your Pet!

Pets are terrific in all sorts of ways. Most pet owners love there pets as family. We will discuss a way to bring you and your pet closer even while training. Remember your pet is extremely loyal to you and your family.

The number one rule you must know as an owner is, the rules and commands have to be consistent. Most pet owners don’t understand why their pets start off obedient and soon after become non responsive.

Whatever route you decide to take in training your pet, do it yourself or hire a trainer, you must be consistent. Once the pet has a clear understanding of what the rules are they will happily follow them.

Anytime you train a pet, you must train yourself first. Don’t change commands along with your particular moods. Each and every command should be given in a constant tone. It’s not fair to your dog to say “stay boy” one minute and then the next “STAY HERE YOU IDIOT!!!”.

This sort of action only confuses the animal, and then we tend to think they are being disobedient. The truth is that as much as your dog loves you, you are starting to confuse and irritate them.

Even with the many many conversations we have with our pets, they really don’t know what we are talking about. They only know tones and sounds, which is why our commands have to be consistent. Please do not stop talking your pet though. The animal always knows when we are being loving and compassionate to them by the sound of our voice.

Be sure that when you are deciding to be serious about having a well trained pet that it all starts with you. If you get into the habit of saying “sit sit sit” don’t expect your pet to sit on that first one, you are training them that if you do not say it three times, you really don’t mean it.

The main objective of this article was to get you to understand consistency is key! However you decide to go about training, stick with it and you and your pet will be happy as ever!

What to do With Dog Crate Training

by Craig Vic

When pen guiding a dog the age doesnt really matter until they become old enough for it. It is usually good to train a dog in the early stages but it can not bar one from the training. Despite the age, pet training is compulsory for every dog, but all this said, not each dog will make it to be petted.

A fully grown up dog, may find it difficult to be caged, but if this is the case, then one can opt to baby gating in a confined kitchen area.

Crating an elderly dog is delicate and must be handled with utmost care. Older dogs do not have the flexibility and the level of control that they used to in young age. First and foremost, the dog has to be made comfortable in open cages with motivators like toys and food.

Once the dog is getting acquainted to that, now you may lock it in and let it stay there for a longer period of time, when it is fully going on well with that it can be locked up for much longer time. When released it must be in full view of the owner.

Keep escorting the dog outside the potty area, so that they dont get confused or frightened by the accident happened. Make sure that you clean it up and move on with the training process.

Older dogs have their ways to love, understanding, comfort level and tolerance levels. And we have to be responsible enough to understand the accidents, if any, and how to deal with it. Consulting a vet is a wise thing to do if they are not abiding to the house training even after long. Older dogs could develop numerous medical problems that could affect their bladder and bowels. We need to be very careful and informed.

All in all, when pet training, patience, understanding are mandatory no matter what age your dog is but older dogs tend to require that much more. Whatever age a dog is, it may want to make one happy but it gets even difficult with an older dog.

Keep assured that they are kept loved at all stages so that they please you, no matter training you give to them.

If you want a pet that will mesmerize and amaze everyone with its polished appearance and charming demeanor then you will want to choose the Bichon. Pronounced as bee-shon, this elegant little curly haired animal is everything you want on social and fashion gatherings. Social because, unlike other companions, it blabbers less and charms more; and fashionable because its curly, thick, and shiny of a coat is comparable to human couture.

Standing at 9-12 inches, this curly dog is perfect for cuddling and pick-and-go moments. They are so amazingly little you can easily slip them in a big bag. Their fabulously shiny and curly hairs are 3-4 inches thick yet they are amazingly hypo-allergenic- they’re perfect even for those who have allergies!

Being a sociable and well-mannered creature, its jaunt proves only grace and poise. It stands and moves with its head and neck erect and walks so sure. And with an obvious energetic disposition, it wags its tail freely and looks at the world with an expressive dark eyes.

Additionally, when trained well, they can be well-behaved and good-mannered around people. These companions are intelligent, easy to train, and have an intrinsic loving, amiable and affectionate character. It’s their desire to see everyone happy, they deliberately love human companionship and they are at their happiest when they are made to feel like a leg of the family.

These cottony little animals are full of life and energy and are unexpectedly independent. They may look tiny beside humongous breeds but they are no less than capable in terms of firm and peaceful interaction with other creatures. Bigger dogs may fight with smaller creatures but with Bichon, there’s only peace and harmony.

The Bichon, although not so admirable in size, have an surprisingly tireless energy and therefore make great playmates with children. They are all parallel in energy and spirit and so having them play together is a good idea. And knowing that Bichons are peaceful dogs, you will never worry fights between them and other pets and other people.

It is always beneficial for dogs to have regular walks everyday especially for those energetic ones such as the Bichons. If you don’t put down this ritual then they will develop behavioral problems which will obviously make them hard to handle. Aside from these daily strolls, it would help if you let them frolic at an open area from time to time.

Their hairs may come in shades of powder white, gray, cream or apricot but the things that keep them shiny and magnificent are regular grooming and once in a month bathing. Stray furs may cover their eyes and ears from time to time so always keep a blunt pair of scissors handy for trimming. Professional pet groomers are also of great help so try to take the Bichons there atleast once per month.

The Importance of Dog Training

by Gus Sanabria

Dog training can without a doubt be something that can test a person’s patience. The key though is to remember that the hard part will only last for a little while. After a bit, your dog will be able to run about and play without you having to worry about accidents or misfortunes taking place. Once you get past the rough patch of dog obedience training, you will see that you can now relax and truly enjoy your dog and the time you have with it. But getting through the initial dog training can be somewhat stressful. This is why it is important to make sure that you get all of the help that you can.

Teaching your puppy housebreaking is just one thing that you absolutely need to do, although sometimes it may seem like a never ending process. Giving up on training your pet could result in many unwanted consequences such as; destroyed furniture, accidents inside the house, biting, aggressive behavior and others.

To avoid these and other consequences, and to make sure you are giving your dog the best ability to have a happy, well-behaved life then it is important to maintain a strict parental relationship with your pet. Dog training is the process of teaching a dog right from wrong. Unfortunately there are people who think that dogs instinctively know right from wrong, but this is false. Since dogs follow their instincts, it is up to the owners to enact their dog training. The dog does not instinctively know the human rules about being allowed on furniture in a home.

We, as the owners and the teachers of the pets, have to slowly and patiently walk our pets through dog training in order to teach them the way we live. Your dog wants to please you but until you teach it how to, it will be at a loss. Dog training will teach the dog the behavior you want it to have. It will also show the dog how to receive your affection and little extra treats every once in a while.

Resources Used For Dog Training:

* Class

* Book

* Magazines

Although there are many great dog training classes available that teach about dog biting and housebreaking, it is crucial to realize that these classes are for information. You will not get overnight success by attending any class. The tough part does not begin until you and your dog arrive at your home. Whatever you may learn or pick up at dog training school always remember to enforce this at home because this is where it all begins.

Books, videos, DVDs, magazines, and anything else that you can possibly get your hands on will help you with the dog training process. Make sure that you are taking in all of the advice and putting it to good use. Depending on the breed of your dog, you could be looking at anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months of dedicated dog training. Stick with it and never slack off and the dog training will pay off in no time at all.
