Some New Suspense Fiction Books
I can venture a guess that if you are looking into a particular piece like this one, that you are an avid and enthusiastic reader of suspense fiction books. You might be out of the material that your favorite authors have written and are looking to branch out with a new author that you might not have heard of before.
Yes, for the sake of this article in particular, you should be introduced to two of the better novels by one particular author. This way, you are going to be able to determine for yourself whether the author seems like someone that you could enjoy reading or not. For this article, the author that you are going to be introduced to will be Ted Dekker, and you will be introduced to two of his most popular pieces of suspense fiction.
When you look up this author through a normal search engine, one of the first pieces of literature that you are going to come across will be “Thr3e”. This impressive piece of literature centers on the hero, Kevin, who is fresh out of seminary and unknowingly stumbles into the bad graces of a madman. This madman’s name is Slater and he vows to expose a secret sin of Kevin’s, and might very well kill him in the process.
This turns into quite a cat and mouse game that the reader soon cannot decipher who is good from who is bad in the story. You get to the point where you aren’t really sure who to trust. Few books are written with the intense plot twists that this novel boasts. It will keep you guessing up until the conclusion, which is as intense as the fast paced book has been since the first page.
The next book that you might care to check out from Dekker would be “Adam”. This book centers on an FBI special agent that has been saddled with the case of catching a serial killer at large. Every new moon, the killer strikes again and murders an innocent girl. So far, Eve (as the Killer is called), has killed 15 women with no signs of slowing.
To make matters worse, the Special Agent almost caught the killer but died in the process. He was brought back to life to learn that his wife was abducted and slated to be the next Eve victim. He also learns that the keys to catching this madman will rest in the few minutes that he was dead, which means that to put the pieces together again, he is going to have to die again.
If you have never heard of Ted Dekker before, you should certainly take a little bit of time to check out one of his novels. His style of writing and pacing are unlike many in the genre. He can turn a tale that makes you unsure of anyone and everyone until the conclusion, which is the perfect set up for suspense fiction books.
