A Champ’s Way To Achievement

We design our life with specific goals, plans and actions for achievement. Yet, in a moment all can change. We are then left to ponder the question, “Have you chosen your life path, or has it chosen you?”

Even with the best laid plans there comes a time when our greatest achievement is to surrender to that which life has put in front of us. Surrender with a sense of acceptance not defeat.

Acceptance of the inevitable often leads us to our most profound achievements, left to discover a purpose that may have been buried deep within our spirit. Like the tides, achievement has an ebb and flow.

Our greatest achievements reside in the art of possibility. The possibility that regardless of what circumstances we find ourselves immersed in we maintain our beliefs, we continue to grow, learn and expand as a direct result of the situation.

Possibilities, like people, require nurturing and a place to grow. Our minds house all possibilities, but access to them calls for a particular kind of self-love and personal knowledge. Knowing how and when to call forth the possibilities of your day or your life is an art. There are no project plans, goal setting courses or prioritized lists that will teach us to reach into ourselves and elicit the possibilities of our being.

This is personal work; the personal work of self-care, both simultaneously powerful and fragile. Possibility must be cultivated until there is a strength that allows it to stand on its own.

No matter how much evidence we have that life is full of uncertainty there are those who do all they can to achieve constant certainty. It is the very uncertainty of life that has us love with intensity, live with passion and cherish the moments that may have passed unnoticed if each moment were guaranteed to be followed by the next. It is the uncertainty of life that pushes us to achieve.

Uncertainty may well be the catalyst to become our greatest self, achieving that which we otherwise would not have. It is that which allows the ordinary to become extraordinary, the average person a champion in their own right.

A champion is one who understands that time is fleeting and life is rich with possibility. A champion is a champion first in their mind and heart long before they are a champion in their sport. We are all champions in the making. All we have to do is believe.

Subconscious Mind Secrets And Myths

Of course it’s safe to say that everybody is aware of the fact that they have a subconscious mind. In fact, many people are quick to place the blame on their subconscious mind when they’ve done something which they later end up regretting. Ironically, not many people seem to realize just how powerful the subconscious mind can be, and even fewer people realize that while the subconscious mind can be your greatest friend, it can also be a deadly enemy. Either way, it’s one of the most powerful tools you have at your disposal because it is to your subconscious mind which actually controls the way you live.

Practically everyone acknowledges the fact that they have a subconscious mind, despite numerous attempts by professionals to convince us otherwise. Essentially, the subconscious mind could be compared to a game controller, in that it’s responsible for our actions and our thoughts. It’s that little whisper in the back of our mind which speaks to us whenever we find ourselves in a challenging situation. Of course, the manner in which your subconscious mind communicates with you will differ from one person to the next, and no two people will have the same subconscious mind. Irrespective of whether or not people are raised under the exact same circumstances, each one’s subconscious mind will communicate with them differently.

If you take a minute to think about it, you’ll realize that you’ve often heard your inner mind communicating with you. For example, you could have been on the brink of making an extremely important decision when something in your mind told you to back off. Hopefully, if you did back off, it was the right thing to do. Unfortunately though, that self same inner voice can also be a hindrance, in that it can often tell you that you cannot do something, when in fact there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to. It could for example manage to convince you that you’re simply not good enough, or that you’re not very attractive. As such, we can see that the subconscious mind is in essence what you think of yourself deep down.

Of course if those thoughts emanating from your subconscious mind are filled with negativity, then there’s every chance you’ll lead an unhappy life. Fortunately however, you don’t need to resign yourself to a negative subconscious mind because it is possible to change the way you think about yourself.

In order to achieve this, many people rely on affirmations so that they can change the way they think. Affirmations are essentially positive statements which one can repeat to oneself several times each day. Unlike subliminal messaging scripts, affirmations don’t require you to spend any money, simply because you can do it yourself at home. The first step you need to take is to start thinking about which aspect of your life you would like to change, and then you can follow up by thinking about yourself.

If for example you want to lose weight, then instead of thinking of yourself as being overweight, you should be repeating to yourself a statement like, ‘my weight is absolutely perfect’. The more you enforce this message upon yourself, the more effective it will be. Ideally, you should write it down on a piece of paper which you can keep in your pocket and you should place a copy of it in any area of your home where you spend a good amount of time. In fact, you could even have it has a screen saver on your computer. Providing you repeat this message enough times, your subconscious mind will eventually pick up on the idea that this is what it should be thinking.

In this example, you will soon start becoming fit, but if you used affirmations for some other purpose such as to make money, then you’ll also discover your bank account will soon begin improving.

In case you’re wondering if your subconscious mind really does have an impact on your life, let’s look at the following scenario. You have an important meeting in the morning but unfortunately you forget to set your alarm. You wake up late and immediately begin panicking, and as a result, you soon start believing that the day is not going to go your way. To make matters worse, when you get into your car, you discover the battery is flat and that the car won’t start. After getting someone to help you, you set off on your way but you end up getting caught in the traffic. Even when you do eventually make it to the meeting, everything seems to go wrong. By now you firmly believe that your day cannot get any worse than it’s already is but the bad news is that it continues throughout the rest of the day.

While many people would blame this on coincidence, saying that if they had remembered to set the alarm, they would not have woken up late, and if they had looked where they were going, they would not have stepped in the dog’s mess. However, there is no such thing as coincidence, in that everything happens for a reason, and in most cases, your subconscious mind is the reason.

In recent times books such as ‘The Secret’ have tried extremely hard to explain this phenomena in scientific terms which is why it is now known as the ‘Law of Attraction’, which states that a person’s subconscious mind not only responds and reacts to real life situations, but that it actually plays a part in creating such situations.

Even though some people may consider this to sound a little crazy, quantum physics is however in agreement with this theory. In fact, it has already been proven that matter is linked intrinsically to the mind of the observer. Interestingly enough, many religions have been preaching this long before science came along and proved it.

Obviously, if we create our own reality with us subconscious mind, then we can buy all accounts choose what sort of reality we wish to experience. Using nothing more than affirmations, some of the wealthiest people in history have managed to accumulate vast amounts of money. This is because they continuously and consistently believed that they were becoming rich.

Healthy Life With Chakra Color Therapy

Ancient knowledge tells us that the human body contains a reservoir of energy deep within. The highly evolved souls propagate harnessing this energy in order to create the ideal living conditions in and around us. They promote the idea of external help to restore normal body functioning. The theory that gained ground was Chakra balancing, i.e., synchronized movement of seven primary energy centers within the body, to improve all aspects of life (spiritual, emotional, and physical).

In addition to their location in the body and significance, these seven chakras can also be distinguished by the colors associated with each of them. You can use these colors to correct the imbalance in their movements that might have crept in due to any reason. The process of using colors in such a therapeutic manner is known as Chakra Color Therapy.

Here is a brief description of the primary chakras and their associated colors:

1. The Root Chakra, or Muladhara, is located at the base of the spine. This chakra is associated with our basic survival needs, vitality, and courage. The associated color is Red, which is known for its qualities of vitality, and provides energy on all levels.

2. The Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) is situated in the lower abdomen. This second chakra is associated with second basic needs, i.e., our sexual drive and emotions. The color associated with this chakra is Orange. The attributes of Orange color for the body includes conviction in ones actions and the art of thinking independently.

3. The Solar Plexus Chakra, or Manipura, is located just above the navel. This chakra is associated with will, identity, and power. The associated color is Yellow, which is known for its qualities of self-worthiness, clarity of thought, and intellect.

4. The Heart Chakra (Anahata) is situated in the center of the chest. This fourth chakra is associated with the emotions of love, self-expression, and compassion. The color associated with this chakra is Green. The attributes of Green color for the body includes the feelings of forgiveness, intimacy, and warmth.

5. The Throat Chakra (or Vishuddha), situated at the base of the throat, is associated with communication, creativity, and resonance. Blue is the color associated with this chakra, which empowers the body with the sense of self-identification and clarity in communication.

6. The Brow Chakra, or Ajna, is located between the eyebrows at the third eye position. This chakra is associated with intuitive power of the body. The associated color is Indigo, which is known for its qualities of understanding, self-responsibility and visualization.

7. The Crown Chakra, or Sahasrara, is located on top of the head. This chakra is associated with wisdom and enlightenment. The associated color is Violet, which is known for its qualities of self-knowledge and spiritual awareness.

Quite simply, Chakra Color Therapy refers to simple exercises that use the relevant colors to correct the movement of imbalanced chakras. But, before you employ Chakra Color Therapy to treat the imbalance, its vital to know which chakra or chakras is/are affected in the body.

Color Breathing is the next step after you have identified the imbalanced chakra. The exercise involves lying down in a relaxed position with all the seven cloth swatches besides you. Now that you have identified the chakra that need your attention, take the relevant colored cloth swatch and place it on the body part associated with the affected chakra. Take deep breaths. Relax. Visualize the color of the cloth being absorbed by the body and healing the affected chakra. Practice it for 5-10 minutes and you will feel the difference. Repeat for all the damaged chakras.

Chakra Color Therapy is a healthy option for maintenance of chakra balance. For daily maintenance, just lie down and repeat the above process by placing the relevant colored swatches on the relevant body parts. 5-10 minutes should be sufficient to recharge your chakras and correct the imbalanced ones to give you a better life free of physical, emotional or spiritual ailment.

Can’t making dreams come true be just as easy? Can’t we free ourselves of our doubts? Is it not possible? How can we do it in a way so that it looks as easy as brushing our teeth? This is an excerpt form the book named ONE by Masami Sato and it shows how it can be done step-by-step, getting one ready to start walking towards one’s dreams today.

We all have dreams. But not all of us have the faith in ourselves, that we can have and live those dreams in our lifetime. Actually, the secret to have such certainty is simple. And the reason why we doubt it so much is also straightforward.

We can now start by asking ourselves the first question..

Why do we not do the things we want to do?

Often, our thoughts stop our actions. Sometimes the more we think about it, the less we become committed to accomplish what we initially wanted to do. Because the more we think about it, we come up with more and more reasons for not doing it.

Then is it possible to be certain that we will definitely accomplish what we want to do in our life?

Sure, absolutely! To start with, let us look at the power of habits

If we have an appointment for a meeting tomorrow night, we might not spend too much time worrying whether we can reach there or not. We would not be bothered about the likelihood of having a car accident and not being present at the appointment. In the same way when we walk to the bathroom, we may not worry if the toilet would be broken down.

We have so much more certainty about these types of ‘normal’ actions we take every day. They’re habits.

However, we are doubtful about our dreams

The interesting part is that there are several things that we are not very sure about. These are the things that we really want to do in our lives – our Dreams!

So, what is the secret for the assurance that we will realize our dreams?

First of all: Just make it a daily habit!

We can get started by being more confident about our acts meant to meet our desires – the type of dreams that actually fosters our life.

For example, if a person’s dream is to make his fair share of contributions to the society, and giving is a big yearning in his life, there is no need to doubt the possibility of being able to make that contribution. Al that is necessary is to make it a daily habit.

Second: Try to make it as important (and as much easy) as brushing teeth..

Achieving our dreams can be just like brushing our teeth. It wouldn’t feel good if we didn’t brush our teeth for a long time, would it? We wouldn’t spend hours thinking of which toothpaste to use or delay the good feeling of having clean teeth for other ‘priorities’. We feel uncomfortable if our teeth are not clean. So we just clean them!

Coming back to our example, if giving is so important to us, we have to ask ourselves certain questions: What if giving is in fact of as much importance as brushing our teeth? What if it is making us feel good? What if it is helping to maintain our health?

No matter how much or little we perceive we have right now, we really can start giving and sharing today. So no matter how seemingly impossible it is to achieve our dreams, we can start walking towards them today. We can if we see it as something important, a top priority that we should do every day! Then we won’t feel comfortable if we don’t do it. Just like brushing our teeth.

and Third: Give first, then we will get back

When we are ready to give first before we have even got what we yearn for – what we are dreaming of – we are sending a strong message to ourselves which says, ‘there is enough, and more will come.’ It lets us know the joy today – the joy of sharing.

If you want to be rich, be generous. And you’ll be blessed with abundance. If you want to be superbly intelligent, don’t be afraid to teach others. And you’ll know more. If you want to give, just give selflessly. Do not attach any expectation of return. Just let go. And joy will automatically be rewarded to you. The simple joy of giving.

So do not be afraid to share and give what you have, for it will not hinder you from achieving your purpose, whatever it is. It will only make you achieve your dreams quicker. And your journey there will be full of joy.

But are not habits smaller, in comparison with our BIG dreams?

Just do it, don’t worry about the ’scale’

Because anything can take place in life. We might get started in a pretty simple way. And these simple things might lead us to another act, and form there to another. Our confidence in our simple actions and executing them one by one constantly takes us forward. But if we feel that it is unfeasible to do something now because it is simply unachievable, it is unlikely to ever happen.

The secret to achieve your dreams has always been here, and will always be here. The people who create miracles, inspirations, and the real sense of joy, already know this. They are always using it.

Dreams and marvels are not accidents. We make them through our options.

So, would you start walking towards your dreams today?

What Is Hypnosis Used For?

by Trevor Johnson

If you did a bit more research into hypnosis you will find that there are many people who do not believe in its powers. A lot of people believe that it is all a farce, and yes, in some cases it is. However, you should take into consideration that there are professional therapist using hypnosism but what is hypnosis used for?

If you went to a therapist you will find that any good therapist is able to do hypnosis on you. This is called hypnotherapy, and is very popular in the psychological industry. Many people go to therapist just for this type of therapy – any you thought all you need to do it talk!

This type of therapy is used on a wide variety of issues that a client is dealing with. The first thing and probably the most used method of hypnosis, in the early days, was to quit smoking. It was believed that a hypnotherapist could trick the individual brain into not wanting anymore cigarettes. This would be done by making him or her think that cigarettes are disgusting.

This turned out to be helpful and hypnotherapy to help a person quit smoking was a success. This did not happen overnight, and took a while for people to get right. Once they got it right however, they moved on to bigger and better things, with the obvious choice being weight loss. Weight loss through hypnotherapy also took a bit of time to accomplish, because it was a whole new ballgame.

It was not as simple as telling the person that he or she was thin. This would obviously not make the person thinner. It was more complicated than that, which is why it all came down to a bit more talking on the patient’s side. It had to be found why the person ate, was it for comfort, fear or anxiety?

It all came down to making the patient not want to eat as much, which in turn led to weight lose, and a thinner client.

Self-Love is Unconditional Love

by Kerri Kannan

We are raised with ideas that love has something to do with how we express ourselves toward others. We think that when we love someone, we will compromise and make them feel better and will sacrifice ourselves and do anything for the object of our adoration. While this is true to a point, it is backwards. You can not love another until you fully embrace yourself.

The notion that you must cater to the needs of others in the name of love creates internal conflict and it is really the furthest thing from love. We are taught that we must strive to “be good” but that implies that we are inherently “bad” or that there is something we must achieve or do in order to be good and loved. We set ourselves up for lives of unhappiness and Self-sacrifice, feeling that love comes from an external source and to attain it, we must cater to the perceived needs of others.

When you can embrace yourself, exactly as we show up, (whether you like the characteristics or not) you then allow yourself to be Self-loving. You cant help whether you feel anger or love in any moment, and you cant control other people and their perceptions. All you can do is surrender control and accept yourself and what you feel in any given moment, whether that feeling is of wanting to kiss someone or whether you want to kick them. You dont have to act on anything, merely accept that you feel it and once you accept it, you can then change it if you desire. You cant change something you are unwilling to see.

When you can accept your feelings in any given moment, you will eventually find that you are happy to be you and can remain steadfastly true to yourself by honoring your feelings. When you can be true to yourself and other peoples opinions hold no power over you, then you can truly love without condition. You find that your approval and acceptance is the only validation you need and little by little, your attachments to how other people respond to you melt away. You find that it makes no difference whether your love is reciprocated; you love because you feel love for yourself and nobody can take that away from you. You find that it feels wonderful to share yourself and your love with whoever will receive it, in whatever form it shows up; whether it is helping a stranger with groceries or being present with your kids or giving yourself over to your lover fully and completely.

When we release the need for external approval, we find our own validation and approval is the only one we need. We find that our love is expressed in everything you do and you free yourself to be completely and steadfastly true to ourselves. We also find that in loving the Self, we cant help but love every aspect of our lives because we see and express our own Love of Self in everything we do.

The Four Stages of Learning

by Michael Angier

Paul Zane Pilzer, a leading economist, predicts that nearly half of the jobs people will have in the next five years haven’t even been invented yet. Today, over 90% of the jobs in the U.S. weren’t in existence when most of us were born.

What that tells me is that understanding the learning process is a major key to our future success. There are four stages of learning anything.

* Unconscious Incompetence This is when you don’t know that you don’t know how to do something. For instance, a young child isn’t aware that he doesn’t know how to drive a car.

* Conscious Incompetence In the second stage, you become aware you don’t know how to do something. You know that you don’t know. This awareness is critical. Attempting to drive a car without knowing how to drive a car could prove fatal.

* Conscious Competence The third stage is when we know how to do something, but it requires we be very much aware of what we’re doing.

To continue with our example, when you first learn how to drive a car, you must concentrate on blending the power, easing out the clutch, watching traffic and the many other skills that are part of operating an automobile.

* Unconscious Competence This is when you’ve reached a level of competency, which requires little or no thought. The skills are ingrained so deeply that you can talk, adjust the radio, open the window and think about your next presentation-all while orchestrating the direction, speed and performance of the car.

As we progress through the new millennium, being able to learn new skills and quickly access information will be critical to our success. Knowing how to learn will become one of our greatest assets.

About the Author:
by Conrad Blomberg

Many years ago in France a man named Emile Coue came up with an idea which was unique for the time. His idea was that if you repeated a phrase to yourself often enough you could bring about change. No one had ever come up with such a seemingly original belief before Coues original thought.

What was Coue’s famous short phrase? You’ve probably heard it:

Every day, in every way I m getting better and better.

For some reason people began to recite this phrase and it seemed to work. But of course, neither Coue nor anyone else had any solid idea of why it worked. People just began saying this phrase and it eventually became famous.

Coue, apparently, had invented what are called Affirmations, today. They are just a phrase or a short sentence which Affirms that you want something to happen.

Do Affirmations work?

Yes, Affirmations do work. Virtually every self-help program or method extant today uses Affirmations. Some call it by a different name, but they are in the end all just Affirmations. Today, a large proportion of the population has apparently heard of Affirmations and many use this technique.

Why Affirmations do work.

(1) The more determined you are to make your changes, the better they work.

(2) Then, the more you are prepared to accept desired change, the more effective Affirmations are.

(3) When change occurs you should be prepared to accept it and let go of the past..

The more closely you follow these three steps, the better your Affirmations wlll work Being willing to accept change is a big part of making Affirmations come to pass. Your success is, as they say, up to you.

There is a reasonable idea behind Affirmation success.

Those who study this subject, indicate that the subconscious mind is key. We all have a subconscious mind, of course, and it is more powerfu lthan most people realize

When we say (and think) that an Affirmation is true, our subconscious has to make a choice. Will it accept or resist the Affirmation?

In the end, your subconscious will accept what you are saying to it. Dont be surprised if it takes some time. Your subconscious may not agree with you at first because it is zeroed in on your past set of beliefs. Some of these past beliefs may have been installed by your parents when you were very young. These early beliefs are often difficult to overcome.

Although, if your subconscious believed all along in what you said in your Affirmation, things could change fast. That is what happens when people say that the change was “a miracle”.

Affirmations will reprogram your unconscious mind’s belief system. This is what leads to change. Once resistance is broken, your subconscious is able to re-examine your core beliefs and patterns. The effect of this reprogramming can be startling and things can change fast as dysfunctional beliefs get identified and replaced by your personal new inner truth.

Because Affirmations reprogram your thought patterns, they actually change the way you think and feel about things. Because you have replaced dysfunctional beliefs with your own new positive beliefs, positive change comes easily and more naturally

A new computer program is reputed to be effective when it comes to Affirmations and making changes. This program runs on your computer. The author claims it takes but 10 minutes a day to become effective.

This article’s scope does not encompass more details than those given above. To go into detail would require writing a very long piece about computers and the mind, which we do not want to do here.
